Mobile Wallet

Stored value, transfers and payments with a ledger that always reconciles.

A wallet is a ledger with a friendly interface. Users judge it on how quickly money moves; regulators judge it on whether every cent is accounted for, and both must be true simultaneously.

We build mobile wallet platforms with the ledger integrity, fraud controls and compliance infrastructure that stored-value products require in every market they operate.

What we build for Mobile Wallet businesses

  • Stored balances and top-up - Multi-currency balances funded by card, bank transfer, open banking or agent networks.
  • Peer-to-peer transfers - Instant transfers by phone number, handle or QR, with requests, splitting and transfer history.
  • QR and contactless payments - Merchant QR, NFC where platform APIs allow, and in-app payment acceptance.
  • Bill payment and top-ups - Utilities, mobile airtime and recurring bills through aggregator integrations.
  • Loyalty and rewards - Cashback, points, tiered rewards and merchant-funded offers tied to wallet activity.
  • Compliance and fraud - KYC tiering, transaction limits, velocity monitoring, device binding and anomaly detection.

Why Mobile Wallet teams choose Prophecius

  • Ledger integrity - Double-entry accounting with immutable history means balances always reconcile to the cent.
  • Tiered onboarding - Progressive KYC lets users start with limited functionality and verify further as they transact more.
  • Fraud caught early - Behavioural monitoring and device binding catch account takeover before funds leave.
  • Merchant network ready - Acceptance tooling and settlement built for growing a merchant side alongside consumers.

Mobile Wallet questions we are asked most

How do you prevent account takeover?

Layered controls - device binding, step-up authentication on risk signals, transaction velocity limits, notification of new devices, and behavioural monitoring that flags anomalous patterns. High-risk actions such as adding a payee require re-authentication regardless of session state.

Can users hold multiple currencies?

Yes. Multi-currency balances with transparent conversion at defined rates are supported, with the ledger maintaining separate balances per currency rather than converting silently at unclear rates.

What KYC is required?

It depends on jurisdiction and balance limits. Tiered KYC is normal - minimal verification for small balances and low velocity, escalating to full identity and address verification as limits rise. The tiers are configured to your regulatory obligations.
